As an independent, Danish journalist and author Martin Breum has covered Arctic affairs for the last 15 years, traveling extensively particularly in Greenland and teh Faroe Islands, but also in the rest of the Arctic. Way back, he lived in Greenland for two years. He has done several tv-documentaries on the Arctic for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation and published five books on Arctic developments and the Danish realm; the latest, from 2021, explored the suggestion by former US president Donald Trump that the US should take over Greenland.

 

Martin Breum runs courses on Arctic affairs for other journalists, bringing them to  Svalbard, Iceland or Greenland. He is a former television anchor with the Danish Broadcasting Corporation and former Deputy Director of International Media Support, an NGO with global reach based in Copenhagen.
